Define your goals
If you could choose any job you want, what would that be? If you say that you are willing to do anything it is a bad thing. You may think it makes you look flexible, but it could work against you. It could look as you are desperate for any job, even if that is the truth you may try to make it obvious.

Multiple goals
You may have multiple goals, several types of jobs you would like. In that case you should have focused resumes for each of those goals. The resume should emphasis the things that are important for that kind of job.

Getting career help at your college
All colleges have some sort of career help. This is a valuable resource, for example they would know companies that are interested in your type of candidates and upcoming business presentations. They may even have some leads to companies looking for people to hire. It is also valuable even if it is a while since you graduated.

Keep a list of all the people you have talked to
If you have a lot of balls in the air it is important to keep some sort of list with the status of the job hunt process. You would for example need the company name, the phone and email address, who you talked to, any appointments or when they was going to contact you. Track your progress.

Use your existing network
A lot of people get jobs through people they know. Plug into your existing network of friends, family. It is good chances that someone knows someone that does something in your field.

Target companies you would like to work for
Be proactive, try to get in touch with companies that you desire to work for. Contact them even if they have not advertised any jobs.
