Source

Easy investing
The “source article” tells a story about how easy it is to do a proper investing in the stock market. If you picked the 10 largest public companies 10 years ago, you would have total annualized return of 10.3% versus the S&P 500 annualized return of 8.5% in the same period.

For the record the list of those companies:

  1. General Electric
  2. Coca-Cola
  3. ExxonMobil
  4. Merck
  5. Toyota
  6. Intel
  7. Microsoft
  8. Altria
  9. IBM
  10. Procter & Gamble

So why do not more people do it? People are always preoccupied with maximizing the annual return, instead of sticking it out with something that is fairly safe that goes up steady, but slowly.

Many people do not have the patience for any “small gains”.
