Eat Your Own Dog Food
A saying used to describe a company that uses it's own product in the day to day operations. Sends a message that the company thinks their own products are the best. This saying was popularized during the DotCom era. An example of not "eating your own dog food" would be a software company that creates operating systems but uses its competitor's software on its corporate computers.
