Ultrashort Bond

A Morningstar category for taxable bond funds that invest at least 70% of their assets in bonds with a focus on short-term government and corporate bonds. Ultrashort bonds have an average duration or an average effective maturity of less than one year. These funds specifically exclude investment in international, convertible, multi-sector, and high-yield bonds.
